LAKE MANYARA / NGORONGORO CRATER

African BufalloDay 1 Nairobi/Lake Manyara
Pick from your Nairobi hotel and depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a late afternoon/early evening game drive via Namanga border town for immigration formalities and Arusha for lunch. The main attractions here are the tree-climbing lions. The park is small in size but the terrain is diverse. The vegetation comprises of groundwater forest, open grassland, swamp and acacia woodland with giant mahogany and fig trees. The park is home to a wide variety of mammals and birds. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.

Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, taking picnic lunches with you, drive to the Ngorongoro crater and descend down its walls for a full day crater tour with a picnic lunch. It is a thrilling experience to descend down and out of the narrow and steep crater walls of 670 metres depth, which has earned this crater, also the largest in the world the title ''the eight wonder in the world''. Flamingos can be seen seasonally in the Crater Lake, depending on the water level as these birds only breed in shallow water. Many animals, which have made this crater their permanent home, can be seen on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.

A View of Ngorongoro Crater
Called the natural zoo or the eighth wonder of the world, Ngorongoro is the largest intact calderas in the world. Very steep walls rising 610 meters from the crater floor surround it. The crater it self covers and area of 265 km and the whole park covers an area of 8,2885qkm. It is a home up to 25,000 larger mammals almost half of them Zebras and wildebeests. There are also gazelles, buffaloes, elands; heart beests warthogs, and others. Carnivores here are hyenas, jackals, foxes cheetah, leopards and Black mane lions 100 species of Birds not found in Serengeti have been spotted here. Countless Flamingoes from a pink blanket over the soda lake. This crater has been declared a world Heritage site. Within Ngorongoro where Olduvai Gorge is located. A home of man. And to the North is Loony Langue Mountain a gray forbidding perfect come that is a still an active Volcano.

Day 3 Ngorongoro / Nairobi
After breakfast, depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Arusha for lunch followed by departure for Nairobi via Namanga border town, arriving in the evening.


Tanzania Wilderness Adventure - 4 Days

Pick from your Nairobi hotel and leave Nairobi for Arusha town for lunch, via Namanga border town for immigration formalities. Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drive. A good network of tracks and roads in the park allows excellent viewing opportunities. Animals seen include buffalo and elephant. Other animals present that can be seen with luck are the tree climbing lions, leopard and black rhino. Lesser flamingos and Egyptian geese are some of the birds seen here. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.

Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro crater for a full day of tracking game with your guide on the crater floor. You will break for your picnic lunch at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. All the big five may be seen. Other species encountered are cheetah, grant's and Thompson’s gazelle, common zebra, wildebeest and the spotted hyena. Flamingos may also be seen at the crater lake. This day will truly be an unforgettable encounter. Dinner and overnight at a lodge

African ElephantDay 3 Ngorongoro/Tarangire
After breakfast leave Ngorongoro for Tarangire National Park which serves as a dry season refuge for animals from as far north as Serengeti and Ngorongoro as it has a permanent river flowing across it. The park has an atmosphere of remoteness and has fewer visitors than the other parks in Tanzania's northern circuit. Arrive in time for a game drive; lunch will be taken enroute. The park contains all the big five except leopard. Other migratory game seen here includes cape buffalo, hoopoes, lovebirds, starling, rock pythons, albino giraffe, puff adders, the fringe eared Oryx and the gerenuk. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.

Day 4 Tarangire / Nairobi
After breakfast proceed on your final game drive then leave for your onward journey to Nairobi via Arusha for lunch and Namanga border town for immigration formalities. Arrive in the mid evening.
